Meet the Team

After leaving university, I had a varied career working as a data analyst and as a training manager, but I’ve always had that love of numbers and accounts. I had my children in 2009 and 2011, and it was then that I decided it was time for a change. It was an opportunity to go back to my love of finance but the chance to combine that with the skills I’d developed in my training role and really help and support people running their own businesses. 

I trained as a certified bookkeeper with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) and set up Numberwork Services in 2012 – I haven’t looked back! I am now a Fellow of the ICB, a qualified payroll advisor, a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a Xero partner. 

What I really love about working with my clients is helping and supporting them build and grow their businesses. Many small business owners set up on their own because they have a passion, skill or expertise and believe they have something great to offer. Often, they are not numbers people and find the financial side of their business challenging and overwhelming, and then there’s all the rules and regulations and HMRC to deal with. My experience working in different types of organisations means I have an in-depth understanding of how businesses operate. I am friendly and approachable and can communicate things clearly in a way you can understand. It’s really important to build a relationship with my clients so we become your trusted business partner and I’m there to support and nurture you as your business grows.

I’ve worked in a finance background for over 15 years and then decided to concentrate on bookkeeping whilst I was on maternity leave with my son. I am ACCA part qualified and ICB level 3 with part of level 4 completed. In my spare time I spend time with my family, our 2 dogs and my horse who I enjoy competing in Dressage.

Caroline Watts MICB PM.Dip

Having run my own successful business for over 20 years and raising my four children. I decided to formalise my number knowledge undertaking my ICB qualifications in 2020.

I enjoy helping businesses interpret the complicated regulatory requirements and implement them into real world applications, making numbers, make sense. This allows businesses to analyse real time performance and profitability and make sure they have the right information to make the best decisions.

I have a passion for Running & Triathlons my biggest achievement is completing two Ironman’s, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!

Sarah Hamilton

I’ve spent many years working in various administrative roles across financial services, healthcare, social care and education, and I’m now thrilled to be part of the Numberwork Services team. I’m really looking forward to this new role and supporting the team in any way I can – helping people is what I love most.

Outside of work, I live with my partner, our 4-year-old daughter, and our pug. I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and fitting in some Yoga or Pilates when I can. I’m also trained to Level 2 in British Sign Language and hope to progress to Level 3 in the future

Michaela Cox AATQB

After spending over 10 years in the beauty industry, both employed and self-employed, I decided to pursue a new challenge and retrain in bookkeeping and accounting. Returning to study in my thirties was a big step, but one that led me to a career I genuinely enjoy.

I hold AAT Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications and am certified in Xero bookkeeping and payroll. Having run my own business, I understand the demands and challenges business owners face. I enjoy supporting our clients and helping them stay organised and in control of their finances, giving them more time to focus on growing their businesses.

Outside of work, I love travelling and have visited 41 countries and counting. I also enjoy watching sport, particularly tennis and football, and spending time on the badminton court with friends.
